Friends of Pondicherry National Wildlife Refuge

When visiting Pondicherry, please keep the following guidelines in mind:

• The refuge is open from half an hour before sunrise to half an hour after sunset.

• No camping or fires are allowed.

• Carry out all your trash.

• Do not disturb wildlife or pick vegetation.

• On the Mud Pond Trail, dogs must be on a leash. On all other trails at the refuge, dogs must be under the control of the owner and must not chase wildlife.

• Be sure to wear blaze orange when hiking during hunting season.

• Trail bikes and all terrain vehicles are prohibited on all trails at the refuge.

• Insect repellent is recommended in late spring and summer when Pondicherry can be very buggy!
